Phobia Skateboard: Being a lifelong skateboarder, this was one of my favorite projects in 3D design. Each student was assigned their own phobia. A random object was then selected as the canvas for our creation. My phobia was Arithmophobia, the fear of numbers, which seemed appropriate for most creative people! I did research and learned that one variation of this phobia is when people are afraid of math or just have a strong dislike for it. The image of the teacher writing a complex equation on the board and the fear that they will turn around and pick you to be the one to answer the equation was my inspiration. The top side represents the overwhelming equations, and the flipside represents the fear of failing.
