Pink Friday 2.0: For this project we were directed to redesign any album that we could relate to in a personal way. I selected “Pink Friday” by Nicki Minaj. The first time I heard this album I was really impressed to hear a strong, feminine woman speaking her mind with no excuses. Her lyrics, personality and “over-the-top” theatrics made her the queen of female power of the time. If I needed to redesign this iconic album I thought why not cover your entire face with jewels and show that unapologetic attitude?

Like a queen, each jewel was painstakingly applied by hand to my face and onto the vinyl disc. The next phase was a photo shoot, and the final phase was  completing production in Photoshop.
